Welcome to the 2023 CRR Okotoks cross-country event (32nd annual), race 3 of the Grand Prix series. The event features a short fun run for small kids, followed by a mass start for both 4 km and 8 km runners. Start/Finish is on a grassy strip on the East side of the Okotoks Recreation Centre. Both 4 km (one lap) and 8 km (two laps) courses follow undulating trails through a scenic park adjacent to the Recreation Centre. Though not required to enjoy the run, spiked xc runners, studded shoes, or pull-on cleats will help improve footing in case of icy or snowy conditions.
As there is a major hockey tournament happening on the race day at the Rec Centre, parking will be limited or non existing there, so we would like to ask the participants to park at the Crystal Shores Residents Association, 28 Downey Rd, 500 m East of the Start/Finish; this is also the pace for our post race soups and desserts. Toilets are also at this location.
Please welcome our new Race Director Jeremy Neufeld, who has taken over from Deanna van Muyen after her seven years of handling this event. We would like to ask all to help make Jeremy’s life easier, and step in to offer soup making, course marshalling, start/finish tasks, and other forms of volunteering. Jeremy’s contacts are below.

Zone4 online processing fee (~$2 per person) is extra to the registration fee.
Post Race social, soups and hot drinks will be held at the Crystal Shores Residents Association, 28 Downey Rd, 500 m East of the Start/Finish. Please let the Race Director know if you could bring in a hot soup. Also, bring some dessert to share with all.
CRR events are run by Volunteers, We are always in a need to people helping run an event. Please let the Race Director know if you could volunteer at their Event. Roles include Start/Finish setup and take-down, Timing, Finish Popsicle Sticks, Finish Results, Course Marshalling, Kitchen, and others.
