Roger And Helly’s Fun Track Triathlon

Roger Davis and Helly Visser, Club’s two very distinguished Master Athletes – they share dozens of National and World age category records between them, organized and held the first Fun Track Triathlon in 2007. The series consist of three distances: 2000, 1000, and 600 meters, run with a short break between them. The three races’ results are then combined, to rank runners per their total time. The event, though low key, has since been a success with our Roadrunners, admittedly not used to running on track much. Called these days as Roger and Helly’s Fun Track Tri, the short and spirited track series “race” normally coincides with the September Club Night Run, followed by the prompt tallying up the results and celebration in a neighborhood pub.
