Remembering Mardy Roberts

Remembering Mardy Roberts

We’re sad to share that Mardy (Margaret) Roberts, a long time member and volunteer with the Calgary Roadrunners, passed away on April 24th.

Mardy was part of the club for many years — serving on the board, running and volunteering at races, and pitching in wherever she was needed. Many will remember her running the finish timing machine at our cross country events. She received the CRR Orange Toque Award in 2018. Beyond the Roadrunners club, Mardy also gave her time to several organizations across Calgary, choosing causes that supported people promoted active life. A memorial service will be held on June 4th at Knox United Church, where Mardy volunteered countless hours of her life. We know many Roadrunners will want to come together to remember her and share stories.

Mardy lived a good, full life, and we’re grateful she shared some of it with our community.

You can find the obituary on the McInnis & Holloway website: LINK.

Our sympathy goes out to Mardy’s family and friends. We will miss her very much.
