Attention Calgary Roadrunners!
Due to some unexpected hiccups with the City’s park permit, we have to reschedule our much-anticipated Confederation Park relay event. Instead of lacing up on Sunday, September 29th, we’ll now be hitting the [hopefully not too snowy] trails on Sunday, November 3rd. Think of it as extra training time to get even faster! 🏃♂️🏃♀️
Mark your calendars, and let’s make this an event to remember. See you all there with your best running shoes and biggest smiles!
This makes the Okotoks x/c event on October 19th our next Grand Prix race; a little unorthodox sequence of events but we live in a dynamic world.
In other news, Annamaria and Kevin Bliss, after four years of successfully managing Silver Springs x/c, will take on the Twelve Mile Coulee event in January. Agatha and Evan Bayer handled TMC for three years and decided to step down.
Bridget Linder kindly agreed to look after the Silver Springs event this December, and hopefully in years to come.
Please welcome the new race directors and offer them a hand via volunteering at their races.
Happy running, The Calgary Roadrunners Club, see you in Okotoks on Saturday October 19th.
