Welcome to the 2026-2027 Calgary Roadrunners cross-country Grand Prix series. The series consists of ten events – nine individual races (8 km, 4 km, and a short run for kids) in various parks of the City of Calgary and Town of Okotoks, and one 3-leg relay race in Confederation Park. The second event of the series is the River Park Classic X/C, managed by Marie T.

Event Schedule
- 11:00 a.m. — Race fee payment / Late registration
- 11:45 a.m. — 0.5 km Kids’ Fun Run
- 12:00 p.m. (noon) — 8 km and 4km mass start
Online Pre-registration
Please fill in this Google Form (link TBD) before Saturday Oct 3rd, and pay your fees in cash on race day. It’s more preferrable to pre-register online, but you can still just come on the race day, register, and run – we are just trying to reduce load on our volunteers. You will need to pay cash or check on Saturday October 4th, PRIOR to the event. There will be a volunteer collecting payments and checking you off the pre-registration list.
Entry Fees:
- $12 General entry (per runner)
- $8 Calgary Roadrunner members
- $6 Full-time student
- $0 for Kids’ 1K Race
Location:
Race start is adjacent to the Sandy Beach picnic area. From Crowchild Trail, turn east onto 50th Ave. which will take you to the park entrance at 14A St. SW. Head down the hill to the parking lot next to the Elbow River. The race starts at noon, and is preceded by a Kids 1 km which starts at 11:45 and takes place on a groomed grass / pathway course.
Post-Race Tucker & Social:
Fingers crossed for good weather, as the RD will hold an outdoor BBQ after the race, instead of packing in a small community hall. Bring dessert and your own bowl / cup / mug / utensils to reduce waste.
